I played alphaprotocol right after I played Deus Ex Human Revolution and it was just so bad. Stealth worked like ass, everything worked like ass. Might have been dated when I played.

It was dated when it came out, it's draw was its writing and dialogue system which pretty much perfectly emulated a playable B-Movie spy thriller.

pretty niche appeal, it's not actually that big a deal that you didn't like it

I just felt disappointment primarily because my laptop didn't run it properly and I wanted to play it, when I finally got a better computer and got to it, the wait didn't seem worth it. Also felt like a worse version of DE:HR if you know what I mean. The game did have its moments, I did love the rape scene at the end. Good stuff.

It's not for everyone, personally I loved it. I do feel bad about being rude about Alpha Protocol, it's not as bad as I said it was but I was frustrated with it.
