It's mostly just the idea of that world being horrifying than it is the game actually scaring you. That said, when a hunter pops from around a corner ( before you know the game back to front ) it's pretty unnerving knowing you're going to be beat to death if you don't run.

All pales in comparison, Manhunt 2 looks like it was made thinking people only liked the executions in the first game thus making then even more sadistic in the second, that was only part of the appeal for me, the atmosphere of first game was just right, your character, Cash, was a real death roll criminal taken by a lunatic director trying to make the best snuff film ever made, hiring different gangs to hunt you down, that was original at the time.

The bizarre mind experiments with literally Fight Club mixed in Manhunt 2 was just not good, the soundtrack was basically non-existent and the enemies were all boring.

It's probably an unpopular opinion but I believe there's some truth that violent media desensitizes you. If you read the book On Killing, it talks about how Vietnam era soldiers would hesitate or shoot high when engaging vietcong forces. Nowadays the shoot-to-kill rate is supposedly much higher with 98% of troops able to kill without hesitation.

I dare you to tell me a game with fixed camera angles, pre-rendered backgrounds and tank controls would fly in 2017. REmake released a couple years ago does not count since it was only an HD remaster. We also do not know for sure if REmake 2 is going to be a completely faithful remake of RE2.

Actually, America's crime rate overall is low. Something insane like 90% of the crime they have there is focused inside of urban areas. The last time I went there on vacation I was out in this fairly small town and like literally there are no cops, no crime, people just do whatever the fuck they want at any time of the day with no fear. From a pure gameplay standpoint it's pretty mediocre and repetitive musou-shit with terrible camera. But it has so much else interesting going for it in the fucked up plot, twisted characters, all sorts of wacky memery and a terrific OST to boot that will make your ears bleed. Lesbian couples have the highest rate of domestic abuse out of any group. Homosexual men are insanely over-represented in sexual abuse of children - they commit roughly one third of all child sex abuse crimes but make up just 2% of the population. Additionally their lifestyles lead to a variety of health problems (AIDS, among other things), and they are hard drug abusers at a rate higher than other populations. Because of this their average life expectancy is significantly lower than that of heterosexuals (not just by a few years, but by decades).

Legalizing homosexual marriage means normalizing that sort of behavior on a societal level, and demonstrating to children that this lifestyle is a reasonable and acceptable alternative to heterosexual relationships. You are setting up an entire generation to suffer as described above. It's also worth noting that the "slippery slope" is not as much of a fallacy as leftists would have you believe, as the so-called "sexual freedom" movements have started arguing in favor of legalized polygamy and "if-the-child-consents" sexual relations with minors.

Historically speaking, only cultures that are in the end-stage of their existence have been accepting of homosexual or transgender behaviors (see Camille Paglia's work on the end phase cultures). By taking the stance that homosexuality is acceptable, you are literally hurrying Western civilization to its demise.
