Their own animations. Basically, the two characters walk up to each other, strip/unequip their clothing, then play an animation with usually 3-5 stages ending in a climax, cum decal included.
Sometimes the characters are badly aligned so you are forced to move them around a bit using the mod menu or numpad. It's pretty streamlined all things considered, but it's still pretty wonky and most animations aren't all that well made.

As long as you're using mod organizer or Wrye Bash it's actually pretty easy, and there's at least one all-in-one package on loverslab that'll do most of the work for you. The hardest part is making a good bodyslide shape.

Sexlab Matchmaker is the most basic way (target 2 people with spells, sex happens). Sexlab Romance is for starting it through dialogue.

You can install more animation packs, rape mods (Defeat), enslavement mods (Sanguine's Debauchery+), Some creatures mod, LoversComfort for cuckoldry, BeeingFemale for pregnancy, Radiant Prostitution for whoring, and much much more, just explore mods on LoversLab in the download section. You only really need the basics I mentioned though.

The bigger hurdle is getting to know how to mod Skyrim and Elder Scrolls games properly in general. Learning to use Mod Organizer (Not NMM), You need FNIS, Wrye Bash, and LOOT. Beyond that you should eventually get familiar with other stuff like TES5Edit, save cleaners, and the like, but you basically just need

Avoid Maria Eden like the plague unless you want to dedicated your entire savegame to this kind of gameplay, because it fucks up your game otherwise and can run into A LOT of conflicts if you have too many other scripted mods going on.

Some are some aren't. Leito makes pretty good stuff, as does Nibbles. FunnyBizness makes A L O T of animations ranging from mediocre to great, but a lot of them are rape / hardcore animations so you have to sift through a lot of stuff to maybe find what you like. K4 makes animations for futas if you're into that.
