pirate copies of games used to cost much less for the ones who didnt have a decent PC to burn games on CD/DVDs. I still have my PS2 to play pirated games and some jap shit every now and them, i even might use a USB at some point.

Most steam games are also much cheaper than physical copies of last and current gen games, like more than half. The only fags that charge the same price as physical console games is bethesda for what i remember, netherrealm studios tried to do that with MK and got BTFO around here so they changed the price later.

On PS4 the downloadable games are much cheaper than the physical games and are on sale more often, literally every single game i have for my ps4 in downloadable and i never payed more than 40R$ for a game. PS+ is also cheaper and gives nice discounts, i can get my money worth in 2 or 3 purchases plus the ((Free)) the games help me spend even less money.

I never owned an xbox but the 360 was and still is very popular for piracy. Same for the nintendo 3DS, i rarely met people that own original games for these 2.
