I bought the heart of thorns and path of fire combo just yesterday, and have received two max level boosts. I'd been playing guild wars 2 on and off since its release, and the highest I've gotten a character is 55.

I really enjoy exploration and the leveling experience. What are the benefits of getting a maxed out character? Access to pvp stuff? More gold?

My expectations are incredibly low since this is Nu-arenanet
Only 5 new maps again, despite them claiming that they are the biggest ever I'm not sure that'll satisfy what I want from an expansion.

The specializations look to be on point though, they are decent concepts and they offer a whole new mechanic for most classes. The mounts look decent mechanically but the way you'll acquire and train them will be boring for sure.

I haven't really played in months but despite all the disappointment Gw2 still isn't a bad game. It has many glaring flaws but it does a lot right all the same. It'll never capture the magic of Gw1 or be as good but when you look at it as a whole other game, which it is, gw2 does fairly well for itself.

If only they'd make some sort of district selection system so me and my crew can go on low populated maps and reinstate Guild Wars' drop system (smaller party = more loot) in instanced content I'd enjoy the game a whole lot more. The fact that zerging around is the most rewarding in terms of in-game items is such a let down.

My only issue is with the game right now is I'm super far behind on content because I needed to go to college. Planning on getting HoT and the living world beat by the time PoF comes out.
Luckily two of the most interesting new specs are for two of my three 80s (Warrior, Necromancer). Still don't know which class I want to boost to 80, my other 80 is a Revenant which is sadly not a fun class to play.

The only masteries they used on more than one map in LS3 are the "repel magic" from episode 1 and the flame tunnels from episode 2. Everything else is bound to their own maps (other than the new downed skill, which is a different thing). It's not likely to show up in Crystal Desert. I would fucking love to see Oakheart become a skill attached to all players that have it unlocked, so they can use it on maps outside of Draconis Mons, instead of Anet having to bother placing Oakheart nodes everywhere.
