I don't know if this helps but the feelings of loneliness MIGHT be caused by your circumstances to a lesser degree than what you may be inclined to think.

What I mean is, although I assume you're probably a very isolated and idle person, being surrounded by friends, family and loved ones, and even being in intimate, affectionate romantic relationships, doesn't necessarily make those feelings go away. Maybe tonight you are thinking to yourself, "If only I had a bf/gf, I would be happy. If only I were smarter, or more attractive, or more successful - I'm such a failure. Why was I even born?"

But then, grant yourself these comforts and you'll find that there are only more problems hiding underneath them. You can be married, retired, wife and kids, and filthy stinking rich, and at 3 in the morning you can still find yourself thinking, "What is the purpose of my life? Can I really understand another human being? Does anything I do matter? Who will remember me in 10,000 years? Is the heat death of the universe really inevitable? Why was I even born just to die? None of this matters." In fact I'm quite certain that even an omnipotent and immortal being would be bothered by very similar questions.

This may sound depressing, but I'm not trying to be discouraging. Rather, I'm trying to suggest that your problems may have an existential grounding, and that you shouldn't get too caught up in your own circumstances if the things that are bothering you really have a deeper cause. Try not to fixate on the fact that everyone else's grass seems greener, it might distract you from the real problems.

You may be thinking, "easy for you to say, you haven't gone through what I've gone through." But humans have been struggling with these problems forever.

Also , FFXIV is good for meeting people because it throws you into random challenges with total strangers in a casual environment. Any MMO that has matchmaking and requires teamwork should do equally well.

grouping and communication with others is pretty important.

pokemon revolution, itspretty single player when playing, but people everywhere, can talk in server chat. its very grindy. you catch your pokemon, and grind level them. the economy is based around finding pokemon with the best stats which is all RNG. so people buy/sell pokemon. it has pvp,
