you don't need to know much from other FATE games desu. It's in its own self-contained parallel universe plot-wise, in regards to the animes & other games.

As long as you have a general understanding of what the FATE series is about, you'll be fine.

aside from the typical mobile shit stuff (AP/Stamina system, gacha, microtransactions), its a decently fun turn-based JRPG-lite with a pretty good story. I very much enjoy playing it when I'm bored throughout the day. I've been playing since shortly after the NA version launched and I haven't ever spent a dime on it.
