Just got VR headset from the Amazon deal
what are some good games to play on it?
>>384753348
The archery game from "the lab" is really fun
Arcan's call act 1 is ok
Zombiefight VR is boring on demo, but interesting to play with the guns
NEKOPALIVE if you want to see dancing anime sluts and peek at their panties
Waltz of the wizard for something that felt really immersive
all of the games are free or have free demos which is all I played from them
>>384753683
>Waltz of the wizard
Tech demo
Hopefully you got good free games because everything is like 30$ for 5 hours "experience".
Download lots of tech demos. If they haven't ruined the Rec Room yet, that was a good game. I couldn't figure out how to do it after the update, but paint ball in it was amazing.
If you have the graphics, check out how many players are playing Onward. I didn't like it too much because I couldn't see people with my bad graphics and that games are super punishing when you die. Low players + no respawn = shit.
There might be other games, but I've shelved my Vive until I start working on my Unity VR game again (which will be a VR puzzle game, sorta a gamified tech demo)
>>384753348
also many older games have patches to run VR with them, like morrowind
Cosmic Trip is pretty baller. Its a single player RTS. Easily the most polished game so far for VR period.
>>384753348
i got robo recall for free and i fucking love it. so far 6 hours in, going for full completion
Do people still play that Rec Room game, it seemed like a pretty interesting thing to fuck in when I first saw it
Polybius when it comes to PC
How does it actually feel like to fly around inside those goggles? Do you start feeling uncomfortable? I mean these type of games seem neat but I don't know how comfortable they are

The 10/10 video game that 99.99% of /v/ have never played.
>>384756902
i am aware faggot but thank you anyway
So far I like it
I just wish it wasnt such a puke inducing machine
>>384753348
Robo Recall is a pretty fun for some quick fun. Puts a smile on my face, can get intense if you don't manage your position well. Free with Touch on the rift. Mission ISS isn't maybe a game persay, but it's pretty cool if you can handle the disorientation/discomfort.
Welcome to the next era OP, just got on-board myself. Excited to start developing myself.

new types of shit doesn't come cheap son
Haven't put much work into it, but here are some examples of really early levels to show off game functionality
Basically one level is a walking level where you use the touch pad to move across a beam without falling
The other would have a ranged weapon you would use to shoot the target to unlock the door.
I plan to make a bunch of components I can throw together to create a ton of levels.
I wanna make a game where you can play a level in 30 seconds to 3 minutes, and play it for a while grinding through them, OR by passing the headset to various players to show off what you can do, while letting everyone having a bit of fun quickly.
I show off my headset all the time, but finding games to show it off with is hard.
>>384759675
just get a second job
>>384759934
whops, I didn't put the balance beam level in there
Both of those are "activate the switch, shut off the door" levels
The balance beam one is just a series of cubes that you walk over
>>384753348
lone echo, its fucking amazing. pic related
>>384760089
Lone Echo is wild...have you found the little jet pack they hid away outside the station? It's a little Handheld Fury...I think they didn't introduce it for a reason and let you find it if you feel like exploring...it can make you real sick
>buy a rift from bestbuy.com
>$22 sales tax
Are you talking about the Prime day deal or is there another one? I'm about to buy one from NewEgg.
If you have VR and haven't played Superhot you might as well never play again. Superhot vr is definitely in my top 5 games of all time
>>384760089
My bro just got an Oculus and I've been playing Robo Recall. It's pretty rad.
>>384756540
>Literally everyone who just purchased a VR are giving the highest praise. Get the fuck out of here poorfag.
>>384762354
Can you play Superhot with 180 on Rift? I don't have enough room to do 360
>>384756416
I have only played windlands and it's somewhat weird because of the huge jump and no feedback on your legs when landing. Apart from that it's pretty neat.

You can't appreciate VR until you've actually used it.
>>384753348
Elite Dangerous if you have a powerful enough machine, just the experience of space VR makes a headset worth it.
Serious Sam First and 2nd encounter VR

>>384753348
Dicking around in SteamVR with fellow autists is literally the best thing to do that right now, and I don't mean that to disparage the games because some of them are very good. especially Serious Sam: TFE and TSE
