And B2W2 fixes a ton of that, anyway.

Worst Gen was 6 for introducing a poorly executed and centralizing battle mechanic and for being the incredibly barebones and lackluster games overall (and with no games that fixed the base set of games, unlike every generation before), and worst base games were DP for fucking so many simple things up.

Eh. Outside of a few cool designs, I feel like this was actually a very lackluster gen for new Pokemon, and I loved a lot of the Gen VI and V dexes. Alolan form was a mostly wasted concept, and we only got maybe 2 good mons out of it. The UB in particular feel like such a wasted concept, and end up being overly minmaxed to the point where they aren't fun to use or play against.

And Z-moves are kind of obnoxious for the most part, and like megas ended up being a thing that widened the gap between strong Pokemon and weak ones.

I dislike the alolan forms it is just a fancy way to say "fuck new pokemons".

I don't hate any of the new Pokemon or new Alolan things or even Mega Pokemon. But Sun and Moon were so fucking linear and railroaded that it fucking hurt. You can't take 10 steps without getting stuck in a fucking cutscene. The beginning of the game takes god damn forever as a result of this, and it killed my desire to play anymore. I have no reason to believe Ultra Sun will be any different, and god have mercy, I don't think the Switch pokemon game will be any different unless it's a fucking straight remake of another generation, and if it is, you know goddamn well which generation it'll be.

XY and ORAS both disappointed the fuck out of me. I sold my 3DS a few months after it sat in my desk for like 4 months when I finished Alpha Sapphire. I like that they seem to have taken some risks for gen 7, but all 4 games just sound like some shit they threw out on XY's engine while a main team was working on the Switch game.
I'm not sold on giving more money to half-assed Pokemon games even when the Switch one does come out, but may as well just wait on the next gen so I can experience twice as many new pokemon at once if I do decide to get it
