CSGO doesn't actually devolve into prefiring and corner peeking, at least not on every map. It's more about control with grenades and flex aim.

In Siege due to the way netcode works and the lean button firefights basically devolve into two assholes popping out of corners prefiring at where the other is. Even grenades don't change shit since they're client side for some stupid reason.

Also headshots aren't instantkill in CSGO whereas they are in Siege so the problem is only exacerbated.

It's not unethical to sell to the masses, it's how a company gets as large as valve. Name one big game developer that actually makes niche games, it doesn't exist. To maximise money (which is what big companies run by boards want). Smaller companies can make games with love and passion because they are a few individuals, for example bioware started as 3 doctors quitting their jobs to make videogames, their early games were much better and a lot more niche because they made what they personally wanted to make. As the company grew and was bought by EA the people making choices were boards of directors and sales analysis's trying to get the most money, not people wanting to make good games.
