I actually really liked Marvel. I've been playing and following it since vanilla came out and it's very nice to see someone put in enough work with fucking Chun-Li to actually beat one of the few who could still be called a "god" in that game. MK is way better than Injustice is why. The games play very differently. MK revolves around fast paced gameplay and combos, Injustice is slower paced and focuses more on special moves doing damage over combo strings. I really tried to love I2 like I did MKX, but I can't. I'm shocked at how fucking slow Netherrealm is on patching it though. If 3 straight torunaments have been flooded with Aquaman and Black Adam AND 70% of the roster aren't being used at all, there is CLEARLY an issue at hand.

It's not that everyone is nerfed, it's that the game is made in such a way that everyone ultimately plays the same. There are no zoning characters, and the neutral is basically turn-based blockstrings and mixups. Even characters like Dhalsim or Guile, who are historically keepaway single-hit pokey characters that exist to shut down your options, have to play super aggressively to get anywhere.

And you might say "Good, fuck fireball spam" or whatever else, but you're the reason Capcom made SFV this way so it's your fault.
