Witcher 1 is a fanfiction tier story, but witcher 2 is way better than both witcher 1 and witcher 3, I was extremely disappointed when I replayed witcher 3 and it was the exact same thing, witcher 2 was one of the few games where choices actually branched the story out, too bad they fell for the open world meme and focused their efforts into that instead.

You can't roleplay, you can't build your character into anything that's not a spellblade variant, and combat is just you mashing buttons (particularly sidestep) to destroy everything in the game effortlessly.
It's not an RPG, and it's not even a good action game.

Did you try it after they added the "alternative" movement option? I don't know when they added it because I played it late, but it makes geralt get up to full speed faster and tightens his turning radius
