Being born with a defective brain gave me gender dysphoria, living like a girl makes it go away enough for me to live my life somewhat normally, compared to before when every day was a battle to not kill myself.

As a kid wanting to be a girl and wanting to be a seen as a girl while not being one made me feel bad and made me avoid people and society so I just quietly played video games to cope. As an adult the fact that being a tranny makes me a hated freak encourages me to retreat into video games even more, and having played video games night and day since I was in elementary school has made me pretty good at them. Autistically devoting my time to breaking a game is also a good way to distract myself from reality.

See I respect anyone, and I mean that, their choices too, as I really don't care enough about what other people do.

Problem I have is that simply by how I see the world, personally, is that there is no controlling the controller. Theres no difference in what happens to you and what you do. When people say "Im born into the wrong body", in order to get with that idea, you have to accept the idea that you can control yourself, as if you and yourself are separate and theres a clear line between subconscious and unconscious.

This is the kind of thinking that drives a lot of people insane since their idea of what is control and controlling quietly distills in them till they start to make a habit of severe anxiety.

If you've made the choice to see things the way you do, and you are a consistently happy person for it and know it, I can't fault you for anything.
However, trying to force other people (not saying you, specifically, but to the zeitgeist in general) to understand the world this way and view themselves through this lens I find to be destructive. You can do the pronouns thing n whatever thats cool, but do not expect others to shape their eyes to fit your ideals.

its the easiest run around to eventually explain what they mean, but a lot of people take that to be very literal

everyone has that feeling though, or at least more now than ever, of that their existence is a being inside a meat prison they never chose. A mechanistic understanding of their place in the world. One they don't feel they belong in.

I'd have less to say about it all if the method for explaining the sensation wasn't so rigid

I understand your point but succesfully transitioning isn't about whether you pass or not infact most transgirls won't pass completely(maybe the ones who start before 30 years of age do mostly but most start at like 40-50 years)

Face it, the only reason you watch anything from GDQ is to get that sense of nostalgia the first time you watched Sig, Cosmo, or Trihex beat games you loved stupid fast. The thing that bothers me though is that a ton of people are claiming to be trans without having it diagnosed. You can't just decide that yourself, you need to see a doc and a psy and be evaluated.

My biggest issue with that is because of all these "posers" the actual sufferer of the disorder are starting to get a ton of hate from people instead of sympathy. Having anxiety I know the pain caused by mental issues and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, and if I saw that what I have is turned into some kind of flashy label that garnered a ton of hate I'd feel bad about it.

Truth of the matter is, a lot of people with SD don't want to bring attention to it, they're saddened by it and even ashamed at times, they just want to feel normal, this is why they seek help and treatment for the most part.

The scariest part is that people will push Transgenderism so bad that it will stop being considered a "disease" and thus won't be covered by healthcare (in countries where that's applicable) and that could be disastrous to people who need help.

In comparison to how corporate the event is becoming it was nice to see a few runs stand out as gems this time around. Even if there was a lot of gender and annoying bullshit going on they were able to put out a few things that were very entertaining to watch. The events in 15 and 16 went downhill extremely fast and AGDQ this year was something I could only stomach about 20 minutes of.

I suppose we can never go back to the comfy days of 2013 and prior but at least a few runners are able to make it work nowadays. FF7 specifically was a highlight of the marathon for me, classic game, made sure the music was loud, runner hit all the big tricks, and the couch not only explained the speedrun aspects but the story as well.

Why do most trannies have shit voices? I've been on the meds for like half a year and I've already got the voice thing down. The more people talk about the "self-awareness" bit with the ones at SDGQ, the more it makes sense.

I also wonder how they get their meds. Normally you have to see a therapist, who then either prescribes the pills or sends a memo to a doctor that prescribes the pills. Or, at least that's how it works in NY/CT. I don't know how these people operate in the middle of fucking nowhere. My guess is they made some attempt, either got labeled fake or no doctor was certified enough, and instead opted for some online pharmacy. Or they're not on any meds but claim they're transitioning.
