It has a cult following. Over-all the enemy diversity is small and it doesn't take long to beat it and it has a fair amount of games, few which are flat-out game breaking. That said it's a genuinely fun game and doesn't cost a lot. If the dev bothered to fix his game and rebalance some items it'd be a lot more popular but oh well, we get RoR2 instead.

The class diversity on the other hand is 10/10 and the reason I love this game.
I'm tired of games where the classes do the same thing but with different names. ON RoR every class has its own unique way to be played, to the point each class experiments with a different new mechanic.

Only issue I have with some classes is that they're clearly inferior to other ones because the niche they fill isn't important, like enforcer. Other than that yeah, it has pretty fun classes like Merc

I agree, but balancing classes in a game so they're all equal is hard as fuck. At least Hopoo managed to make all of them viable; you can't say that in other games. Hell, I remember back in the beta when Enforcer couldn't walk with his shield on.
To be honest nowadays I find the lawman more fun to play than the merc. Personal taste though.

I completely forgot about that. Yeah, enforcer used to be absolutely horrific back in the day. I tried playing him today but he's just not mobile enough and all his stuff comes out too slow to react to teleporting jackasses/projectiles/fire trails. He has a special place in my heart though
