How is Streets of Rogue? From what I interpreted it's like The Escapists Meets Deus Ex in how it's a 2D RPG but the objectives and locations are procedurally generated.

Would recommend BB2. As far as RNG goes it is almost XCOM levels of cruel, but funnily enough it's cruel to both you and the AI.

Very long, with tons of post game content.
I'm clocking at 21 hours atm, done the bare minimum of the main & post game story content, and nowhere near 100%.
Not to mention the speedrun and boss rush challenges which are unlocked once you're done with the game, oh and the Halloween dlc. Personally, I'd say its totally worth the money spent.

Pick up the third one. The third is actually really good. People are just really fucking salty that they changed the style/tone of the game from 2 to 3, but 3 is legit really good.

1 and 2 take a more serious approach to the story while 3 takes a crazy approach, but as a result you get some extremely fun missions.

Best thing you can do is start playing SR3. Pick up whatever you can until you're invested enough that the story interests you. Then you should watch a playthrough of 1 for the story, skimming over most of the gameplay bits. After that, you COULD play the 2nd game, but it runs so fucking AWFUL on PC. The controls and the performance are absolute shit. You need to run some obscure external batch files and shit just to fix the slowmo issue or something like that. If you want my opinion, you should then do the same thing with 2. Watch a silent playthrough, skimming over some of the long gameplay segments.

Then return to your game of SR3. Then later be disappointed by SR4.

I was about to pull the trigger on God Eater 2, but I just read that the levels/battles are really short.

SR2 has some issues. It's got some graphic fuck ups and some bugs, but none that would make the game non-playable.

SR3 is outrageous, in-your-face, and loud. SR2 is a gritter street crime drama with MUCH better storytelling. Non-linear quest line (so long as you fulfill reputation requirements that aren't hard to do because the game offers so much), more likable enemies... I think Angry Joe put out a review about it and said it could have stood against GTA if it hadn't gone down the absurd route with the third installment. And he's absolutely right.

Plus the soundtrack is amazing. They went all out getting great music and a lot of it.

The only controls I had issue with were helicopter controls, but the game offers more than mandatory helicopter missions. If you don't want to do it, you don't have to. There's plenty else that you can do to where you're not forced into it like 3.

Boyfriend has a good PC and I've never seen him have those problems, either. Not saying they don't happen, just saying that I've never seen them for myself so I'm not 100% sure what to say about it. And I'm not really so sure about console version because I've got really bad, reoccurring tunnel vision because brain shit and can't watch much TV/play consoles.

Also something I did neglect to say was that their multiplayer was hosted by Gamespy. And I'm not sure if any new players would be able to access the multiplayer. But you'd have more fun on coop with SR3, SR2 has a better solo experience.

For $2.50 it's a pretty damn good steal. I'm on the side of the argument that anons should get it.

I'm completely talking about the DW Gundam games, not about this one. From that I can tell you that pretty much every level felt the same. Tons of enemies and you just spam square until you fill your special bar then you press triangle? for your ultimate attack to clear out the rest of them slightly faster. As you progress, there are more defensive enemies thrown in the mix, meaning you have to spam buttons on them even more to whittle their HP down slightly for like 3 bars of HP. Boss battles are boring pointless shit for the most part, but some were a bit more fun. The levels felt super barren and ugly. The entire gameplay is going from zone to zone just button mashing more to clear more areas. The story was mediocre, but it was still the best part of the game. It was much like ace combat in that the dialogue spoken by the combatants was engaging (sometimes).

Overall I wouldn't recommend this series, but for all I know, maybe the mainline DW series games are different. Maybe it's best you watch some reviews with a dose of skepticism going in.

Redout is a steal for what it's going for right now.

I bought the FNV ultimate, though I didn't have the base game. Modding vise I suppose its better to have the complete pack.
As far as the DLCs go for each game are relatively varied in tone, quality and gameplay time.
FO3 has Ancorage, and Mothership Zeta, which are in my opinion are sub-standard. Broken steel continues the main "story", and you can still play it after finishing it. Point Lookout imo in general is the best experience among them.
FNV got Dead Money is a wild ride, OWB and HH can stand on their own as well. LR is one that has its fair share of issues.

TL.DR: FO3, not so much, FNV yes.
