Letting Chloe die and saving Arcadia Bay isn't too pleasant of a choice. You saved the Bay, though its not going to get any better. It's ports are drying up, the towns are dead, corrupt rich fucks are trying to landgrab everything.

Chloe also tells Max to stop being so caring for everyone and fixing their problems, and be selfish for herself for once.
That of course being not letting her die, since no one wants to die because someone else said so.

The only reason I saved her was because the asshole white knight's theory of "maybe your powers did this" had no actual evidence to back it up beyond just a guess. If I had let her die and a week later the hurricane showed up again then I would have been short one best friend and everyone still would have died.

I saved Chloe. If your world is this fucked it deserves to be destroyed.

the storm should have never been a plot point. The game would have been much tighter and well written off that plot had been scrapped entirely and it was just a murder mystery with a supernatural twist.

The deer vision should have been explicitly stated to be Rachel Amber's ghost and that should have explicitly been the source of Max's power, and the story should have ended when her killer was brought to justice.

You can keep the gun the whole time. That's a decision I went back and forth on really indecisively, and only settled on letting Frank take it because I was hoping to pin the theft of David's gun on him and take care of two problems at once.

Reminder that time powers, deer ghost, double moon, magic super tornado, and dead whales didn't even get an ATTEMPT at an explanation despite being the entire plot of a story based game

My problem with LiS isn't that it's bad. It's that parts of it are really good.

The murder mystery is very well written, and the fact that the killer turns out to be the hipster art teacher was actually a really good twist.

The problem is that the writers tried to go beyond that and wrote something they WEREN'T good at writing.

Chloe was clearly written by someone who had HEARD OF punk rock but has about as much knowledge on the subject as a hamster. The whole storm plot is stupid as fuck and a lot of the supernatural stuff needed to be explained better, at least from an in-universe standpoint WHY these things were happening.

If this game had gotten one or two more rewrites it might have been excellent.
