Game's fucking fantastic. Just did a complete playthrough. Love the executions. Story's fuckin' incredible. Game's a grind, but shit's fun.

I played through it and I found very little "race baiting", just how times were back then, if anything it didnt even force anything, just lets you see what it was like, and theres nothing wrong with that.
The story and set pieces keep the game afloat, personally if you dont like the story or atmosphere of the late 60's, refund it, gameplay does not get any better

i enjoy criminal empire simulators - i must have finished godfather the game like 4 times now

i was a huge fan of mafia 1 , it was legendary status had GTA 3 not over-shadowed it so badly

Mafia 1 was better than 2 in every way except graphics but i enjoyed both stories and gameplay, driving was fun and i loved finding all the rare vehicles to explore in

Mafia 3 is kind of meh all around, i dont like the driving, i hate the fps lock , gunplay is meh, enemies take 8 shots to the upper chest, or 1 headshot so your always forced to either one

story is meh , world design is so-so, some areas are amazingly done others look like a terrible san andreas bridge mod to liberty city

i dont know, it just didnt feel like the mafia - i would have went with a goodfellas approach, dealt with the initial casinos opening up in las vegas, cocaine selling, DEA enforcement. I dont know what they were planning to get out of this story mind you im not against having black characters or theme explored but it just didnt really suit the era / mafia franchise

had the game been marketed differently under another IP it could have stood on its own 2 legs but sales would have suffered
