dragon's trap is really good, but keep in mind it is fairly short and is more or less a straight graphical upgrade of an easily emulateable master system game. system shock 2 is very good as well. Make sure you avoid the texture mods though. They are poor redesigns of the monster texture skins and downplay the horror element + there's the hyperrealism thing as suddenly the textures of the monsters are way more clearer than the rest of the envi.

SS2 runs on UE1 and it understands 1 thing really well. a lot of horror is about pathetic state of humanity/suffering (the many are suffering) and us not knowing very well what danger is. (like you not being able to see the alien very clearly in ''Alien''. The new textures ruin the weird, undiscernible look the monsters have, that's why you should not install those.)
