The story is told through the gameplay. Basically the story is written around it being played on a DS and they took some things into account within the story. And they revealed the plottwist at the very end when you are required to hold your DS upside down. It's my favorite game ever made and the best story I've experienced within gaming so I don't want to rob you of the experience by spoiling it. If anything Please try to play it just for 30 minutes to see if you like it. Because if you experience it yourself it'll be so much better.
