Finally beat this shit for the first time. Is there any difference between hard mode and new game plus?

New Game+ is:
what you'd expect, restart of the story, get to keep your character, levels inventory etc

I had a blast with the demo of this game a while back. Just started the full game for the first time and I'm not enjoying it. It's just emulating typical western fantasy RPGs which I'm not a huge fan of.
Does the pace pick up soon?

Not really. The characters aren't all that interesting, the quests are weird or boring and the combat doesn't pick up its pace until the post game. The story is definitely unique, but the awkwardness of cinematic scenes didn't leave me feeling deeply invested in my main character.
I still love this game and there's something about it that felt compelling enough for me to play the whole thing. The lack of polish is painfully evident throughout, but campy, janky parts didn't stop me from having fun.

Strider and it's variants are easily the most enjoyable classes in the game. Ranged is quite fun.

Magic looks cool, but isn't particularly interesting to actually use, and warriors are slow and limited, but may be more your cup of tea if you like Monhun.

Nah, you can change it whenever you want once you reach Gran Soren, which is pretty early on in the game.

I just reached the post-dragon credits. I still don't understand shit. I killed it by climbing up its tail into the core and just slapping it while chugging vim. Did it without falling off.

Is there any reason whatsoever for me to switch out of Warrior? None of the other job augments seem worth gunning for.

What proportion of the game is post-dragon? When should I first go to BBI?
