Your run of the mill VN with only dialogue choices as "gameplay" is debatable and can go either way, but I personally think of them more as Choose-your-own-adventure books rather than games.

Something like Umineko with literally zero dialogue choices and just text is not a game at all. And navigating through menus is not gameplay.

Haven't played Euphoria, but MB is a violence+society+philosophy+religion speculative masterpiece, give it a read. Torture scenes are integrated into a plot canvas so that they underline the VN's core ideas rather than being gore for the sake of it. The plot itself is just so satisfying, it revs up signifcantly closer to the first good ending, though. Protag's development over the course of MB will make your jaw drop at some points, I believe.

Muramasa takes its main inspiration from period dramas (Taiga drama), vocabulary used is archaic and old fashioned. I find it to be nothing like Hanachirasu. Chuuni as fuck metafiction written by a guy that absolutely loves anime, manga, games, and everything that goes with it. It's very aware of all the tropes and cliches it employs, it celebrates them really. It's very good, the common route (6-10h long) is free on steam so no reason not to give it a shot.
The basic plot is about a group of nazis employing the occult to become immortal and 60 years after Germany lost the war starting a ritual in the hometown of the MC.

If you have a typical multiple choice VN setup and the choices are fairly dense and branch the novel in such ways that getting to specific endings is actually somewhat hard, it qualifies as an adventure game.
