They'll never do a beast race game because people would feel disconnected with an entire land consisting of nothing but cat or lizard people.

They can't do Hammerfell because it would be too politically scathing, either coming off as Pro muslim or anti muslim. Yes people are that stupid but that's our world.

They won't do Orsinium because ESO just did that like a year ago + orcs have the same issues as beast races.

Too soon to revisit cyrodil, skyrim, or morrowind especially with the new eso expansion.

So my bets are in order of least to most likely.

3) Valenwood. Wood elves are possible to care about and could be very interesting location wise.

2) High elf land game. Technically ES II did this but nobody played I & II and it would be interesting to explore the Thalmor in more detail.

1) Daggerfall Breton game. Easiest human race that hasn't been explored. Lots of political intrigue beyond "we fite for freedum" like Skyrim.

There's nothing stopping Bethesda from making the majority of NPCs human regardless. Only 50% of Morrowind NPCs are dunmer. And Oblivion/Skyrim has less Imperial/Nords than that.

I'm not going to say much, but I have a contact high up in Bethesda. He relayed to me that they're basically set on the Summerset Isle, they want to focus on intense magic the likes the series has never seen, the dominion, the psijic order, and the Thalmor.
They are also looking in to AI for the NPCs to give the world a dynamic feel which is unique to every playthrough, also VR.
Do not expect anything at E3 this year, sorry.

Oblivion is the only one that smoothed things over for normies, and even then it had some spark with Mankar Camoran and the DLCs.

Skyrim has an NPC that directly yells lore at you when you pass by him. Kalpas are mentioned in the main quest; the whole main quest is lore.

This doesn't make any sense because Altmer/Thalmor are explicit with their goal of elven supremacy.

Argonia. 2020+ release (possibly MUCH later, 2024+). Made for VR / VR-only. idtech 6.5/7 (voxel-based). Huge departure/return-to-form (goodbye fast travel, hello generated content, lore scale, AO/unrated extreme content, etc.). Start of a new era, as with TESIII. Every third game will be. Almost entirely photoscan based photorealistic graphics.

'Greenheart' was in progress as another III-era formula game, and was cancelled for this reason. Most likely VII will be Dominion (Valenwood/Pelletine/Anequina/Summerset), and VIII whole of Tamriel. Yes, this is how far ahead they plan.

There will be a VR-only spinoff tech-demo 'game' before VI proper, which will be TES2.5 mechanically (halfway between III-era and VI-era) but in a much smaller area. This may or may not be showing off the new graphics (may be used as an opportunity to get value out of assets from old cancelled projects eg. Greenheart or Tomorrowind).

Settlement building carries over since they've developed that into the engine.

Weapon customization for the same reason.
In my opinion I think it will be two or three provinces. Valenwood and Elsweyr, maybe Summerset Isles as an expansion or base game. There aren't many big continents left, and Summerset Isles isn't diverse enough to be interesting to casual players.

Story wise I think it will have to do with Bosmer revolt against Altmers and the Aldmeri Dominion 2: Electric Boogaloo in general. Probably as bland as Skyrim in terms of the civil war questline. Main questline will probably be centered around some Bosmers not wanting to be under the Green Pact or some shit and trying to fight or rebel against Y'ffre (which leads back to Khajiits in Elsweyr and Altmer's in Summerset Isles).

Combat will be much of the same. Probably some new alchemical weapons like bombs since casuals don't like alchemy.

Main character gimmick? Who knows. Generic prisoner with latent power leading a fight against a deity, it's nothing new but I don't put it past Bethesda to rehash shit for the fourth time.

I was actually hyped for TES 6 since i thought there was a slim chance that bethesda would get their shit together but then Fallout 4 happened and all my hopes were shattered. Not because the games was terrible but because it managed to be the best selling Bethesda game of all time and that is from their B list franchise, so imagine what will happen with the new tes. After the FO4 success there is no way in hell they will even consider making a decent RPG experience, they just attract as many day 1 sales with promises of an EVEN BIGGER WORLD THAT SKYRIM (that will be filled with a couple hundred bandit camps) and they'll trow in some gimmick, like settlement, for good measure. God why must we suffer so.
