I think the site takes forever to load so i very rarely use it. And i don't really follow any streamer(technically i guess i follow Lobos Jr but on Youtube), but sometimes if i'm bored and i have nothing else to watch when i'm working or eating i will go and see if someone is playing some videogame i like and i'll put it on my second monitor.

I think the whole concept of celebrity alone is inherently flawed. I'm kinda torn to think of it, I like the idea of over-inflating the celebrity currency with a bunch of dumb pricks, assholes, and normies. At the same time I absolutely scorn the idea people are actually into watching people play video games that they themselves could be playing, and then proceeding to donate to and support these people for doing nothing more than that. It really boggles my mind that someone can sit in an air conditioned room playing video games literally all day and make more money than someone with a real-world talent like some of the street performers I've know. At least those pricks can sing, dance, and play instruments. They're also chock-full of stories which while many are fabricated or push into the territory of unrealistic hyperbole they're quite fucking enchanting, unlike watching a streamer WASD their life away.

No tips on how to not be a cringey asshole, but I can give you tips on how to grow initially.

Tip 1, fake it till you make it. Botting views is a faggot way of doing things, but getting a couple buddies to keep your stream on in the background will help you break out of the 1-3 viewer hell pit and get your name out of the mess at the bottom of the page.

Tip 2, stream something new. The best way to get viewers early on is to play games that are either on the horizon or are cool, but don't have many larger streamers playing them. The trick is to get there first, even by a few hours is usually enough to get you 10-20 viewers which will be enough to keep you in that top 20 for a little while until Lirik or Summit start playing and sweep the whole thing

Tip 3, stream for longer than the big names. What I mean by this, is that you might catch some overflow from people who were watching the bigger names for a game, but after the big names have logged the viewer will need a new streamer to watch, if you're up in that first page, chances are you'll get a curiosity view

Tip 4, engage. Don't be a faggot and welcome everyone as soon as they come in, but give people something to talk about and always interact as soon as someone shows interest. Riding this fine line between involving them and ignoring them is very important.

Tip 5, be consistent. People won't want to watch you if you only stream whenever you want. If people are interested in watching your stream again make sure it's easy for them to fall into a pattern and make it easy for them to find.

Tip 6, don't be a massive faggot. Self explanatory.
