I think I actually quite liked the combat in that game. I've never seen anything else like it since. That's a bit strange since I think having to time blocks and charge spells and all the elemental stuff was pretty cool. It's just a shame everything else in that game was such a pain. Like the goddamn platforming and that ice section. I was a big Orphen fan as a kid, it aired really late alongside Trigun and Tenchi Muyo. I never really liked Tenchi Muyo as a kid but watched it anyway because Orphen and Trigun were on next.

Knowing how shit Orphen is brings me immense shame in having enjoyed it as a kid, and having had watched it with my mother sometime.

I actually really liked this game. The story was pretty generic but the combat was really improved from the first game. Kazan was a bro.

Unless im somehow misremembering, the only connecting between both games literally was the combat. the whole story and setting was completely different.

Still though I loved Legend of Legaia, I thought the mist thing was cool, dont remember too much since I played it when I was a kid, but liked the music, the settings were nice, bosses were tough as fuck. Legaia 2 had like none of that.
