One of the things I want is sub-link sets. So you don't have to control each part of a mesh with a script to rotate it, for instance. I imagine its like you say though and falls on deaf ears - they won't care until their cash flow starts to dwindle.

The thing that they're actually working on implementing right now are animated objects. The idea is you can basically rez an avatar skeleton that doesn't have a system body or an account tied to it somewhere on a sim, and animate it how ever the fuck you want. Unless I'm misunderstanding you, that'll do what you want.

I once took Bio1 at university becauae "science requirements". We were told "oh you dont have to come on campus for labs either! Lab is online. On 2ndLife."

The instant the prof told us that, snickering and sounds of confusion went up, and it got worse when we were shown a demo and some of the TAs had furry avatars. They walked around giant 2ndLife islands that had a "campus" on it with attractions like "the biology carnival", "cell factory" , "alien biology simulation" and other gay shit. We actively had to log in once a week and complete these activities for the lab credit. Things like going around and collecting items that when combine you could put them through a machine and theyd make a protein and you need a certain amount to put into another thing, or make a vaccine for a virus by checking the cell patterns and colors on these crashlanded aliens.

Immediately on day1, as TAs tried to teach us through SL voice chat how shit worked, some people turned on flight mode and flew off the university island and got lost in furryville somewhere, the girls started playing dress up, people bought actual shit with money to show up for later labs looking cool.

Me? I got in the hotair balloon and changed my avatar to a free cardboard box midget creature and participated in labs like that.

I aced the lab portion because you could infinitely repeat the activites of the week until you passed, but i never needed more than 1 try for 90% of it.

I hope UCF learned its mistake.

Sort of? The creator the maitreya has made something like a million dollars, but I'm not sure how long it's been out and how many people are on that team to divide it between. Utilizator (creator of the kemono) has probably made something like a few hundred thousand over the course of like.... 4 years? I was told by someone on the 1st act werewolf team that they were each making 60k a year for a while. I have no fucking clue how much the big name clothes makers make, but I myself make about 500-700 usd a month from basically jerking off in blender and I'm pretty fucking low tier in terms of both skill and popularity.
