After looking through all of the gameplay videos there's no indication that I could find to say he was wrong. So the whole requiescat holy spirit spam might be completely off just because people are assuming things based off of a tooltip that could go both ways.

Endgame rotations in WoW are like 3 or 4 moves for a lot of classes. It's fucking pathetic. When I hit endgame with my hunter and then druid I was honestly shocked at how simplistic the game-play is at max level.

FF14 has longer GCD but it has so many more abilities you need to use and off global cooldown buffs that it's way more engaging and interesting.

Also WoW didn't have many bosses with interesting mechanics. At best I had to walk 3 times in an entire boss fight and otherwise I was just pounding out my 4 move rotation.

DRK's mitigation is near identical to PLD. Shadow wall is 10% less than sentinel but Living dead is 2 minutes shorter than Hallowed. Dark mind is still way better for magic than blocking is.

Bulwark is fucking stupid now, nothing any tank has can compare to that. But for all intents and purposes, DRK's mit is more than fine. Not to mention PLD can straight up give mitigation to the DRK with cover and intervention.

Honestly, it's an unsure factor at this point, due to the error in the tooltips. From what we KNOW, yes. You use the skill above 80% and it provides a buff, like any other - meaning you can spam down to zero MP, but so long as that buff is up, you're fine.

Otherwise, with how much MP a paladin uses on any skill AFTER the 80% buff should just say "increase the next healing/damage spell via magic" or something along those lines.

Again, we're unsure due to the fuck up in tooltips, and it being a two month old build.

The best we know now, is seeing it in action itself, where the buff remains even after going below 80%.

This is where it depends on the party make up. If no one else needs manashift, you might as well throw it to the paladin to help increase DPS a bit - though I admit, it is doubtful - though what my point was; Paladins have more of a way to recover and spam their attack, over a fellcleave which is locked at six at most, due to the limit of it having to use the gauge - while the holy spirit uses MP. So if you wanna theory craft and look all over, a paladin can do -more- of their nuke than a warrior can fell cleave.

Shit posting aside, I see the MT for progression being Paladin always, with WAR being the backup - while DRK is for niche fights or once you have something on farm.

Steel Reason is probably the best track in the game.

Most Paladins, myself very much so, are more happy with us being able to block magic damage - which was a major reason why we were overlooked compared to DRK.

If we get down to it, we were looking at a two month OUTDATED build of the new system - with the IDEA of what's to be. For Paladins, even with number tweaks, it's looking pretty damn good. The biggest buff which some over looked, is the MAJOR buff to Fight or Flight - as it's a sixty second cooldown lasting for 30s, rather than a 90s cooldown.

Add to the fact all of our damage numbers got buff, we are getting a single target nuke and a buff that makes it even stronger, and a bit of AOE? Yeah, you're gonna so paladin mains getting eager as hell, as we'll mainly have more to do than just 1-2-3.
