I'd give it some time before deciding. The Owl tomes sound cool, especially since the arena changed maps in favor of defensive tiles so they'd be easy to use.
I also hear that Ragnarok is an inheritable + tome, so that could be neat.
If you have any plans on using a healer for whatever reason (like a mounted healer for horse emblem or something), then rolling genny might be worthwhile.

It's a mixed bag, but they sound decently cool. Unless they're SSS tier, I wouldn't bother if you already have good mages, though.

Alright, just beat the map again and I think I'm getting the strategy down for the map. Here are the things that I think are required for this. Note that I am by no means the best player at this game, and there's almost certainly more efficient and less specific ways of doing this.

You'll need
>a Green capable of countering at range that can tank/kill Mae and the dude who totally isn't Zacharias. Will be used to tank Genny for a turn later.
>a Blue Mage capable of lopping off about half of Celica's HP per combat round, will be used to kill Celica as well.

They really need to introduce quests where you can get skills for certain units at least up to a certain level. E.g. if you do quest xyz your lead unit can learn quick reposte 2 or something.
