I lost interest a few weeks ago when it was obvious that the old pros were just throwing games blatantly just so the brackets/tournament wasn't so predictable in some desperate attempt to make the non pros look decent.

I realized it and I couldn't stop seeing it after that.

I had hoped after korea time ended years ago on GOMtv and sc2 came out that if they ever did bring BW back and stream it for americans and shit like that, that they would drop the whole pros taking dives for money thing, but it's obvious they haven't stopped doing it.

It's not as interesting when I know the pros are always gonna win, with maybe 2 planned "upsets" at the ass end of the tournament.

Only real reason to watch is Tastosis.

I doubt it, when those players were caught taking dives in 2010 there was a pretty big shitstorm over it. I legitimately think it's just that easy to make a huge mistake and lose unexpectedly.

I would reccomend you watch the previous match before this with jaedong, ssak and last, it was the best series of the whole season, especially the ZvZ and TvZ at the end.

I think the highly developed map making are one of the key factors that sets SC1 apart from SC2.

That and the fact that because there has been no rebalancing tactics from ages gone by are still relevant today. Once a trick is in the playbook it stays in.

Control groups and inefficient pathing are the single biggest factors though, easily. Deathballs are boring. I cannot stress that enough. In SC1 just watching the minimap is entertaining because there are so many things happening all over the place.

Dark Archons are absolutely used. Not a mainstay or anything, but they have a legit purpose. Valkyries are also used quite often.

Devourers, Queens and Ghosts fall into the 'very very rarely used, but still sometimes useful' category

Scouts are by themselves in the 'absolute shit and no reason to make one except for BM' tier

Even nukes can be semi-viable if the map is really weird.

Their only advantage over Corsairs are only against the big expensive air units and psionic storm handles that well. Their biggest contribution is as existing as a theoretical threat to prevent battlecruisers and carriers from ever being built.

There used to be this weird map that I remember Flash using nukes on (not for BM), where Zerg would try to take island expansions, but the expansions could be nuked from across the island.
