My friend and I have been sharing a save file with new vegas, the character is based off of him except he is a raging alcoholic and hasnt been sober since victor saved us.
If you ever get bored of new vegas trading a save file is really fun because you kind of just appear places and never know what your friend has been upto. And yeah its vanilla only, mods would make it too confusing.

Where can I get energy weapons early game? Pretty sure there's a laser pistol in docs house but I feel like they're harder to come by in many areas

Here’s thing thing about fallout
fo3 was good for its time, but combat sucked
new vegas was a "new game" but it looked exactly the same and there were no innovative new features, fighting things were a chore. plus there were like no open world respawns, making its replayability the worst.

When you first start out in NV there’s no story at all. I’ve never played an RPG like that. There’s nothign to draw you in, and the game is so retarded if you so much as walk in the wrong direction you get raped by a deathclaw, because ObsSHITian is too lazy to design a decently flowing world map so they lock down sections with high-level mobs.

This is why Fallout 4 is the best.

fallout 4 is by far the most enjoyable. they added innovative new features like settlements, actually GOOD DLC, hit markers, respawning enemies (when u compare it to NV its a new feature) and made VATs a lot less cheap. It still is a noob feature, but instead of stopping time it slows time, not by enough in my opinino though .

Power armor is finally as it should be. Its not a gay looking martian suit that looks so flimsy a 9mm bullet could penetrate it. Now i can believe its actual powerful death suit, not the worst cosplay at faggotcon. Plus, in fo4 you can attach jetpack. A fucking jetpack. Enough said, fo4 is the FIRST 3D fallout to have a jetpack.

I would have to disagree with you there, I did enjoy Far Harbor, but Nuka World pissed me off. Fallout 4 did do a lot of things right and the game is very fun to play. The story for me is just too shallow, I do not enjoy being a dad/mom the whole game. I mean its kind of funny because I have a drug addicted cannibal and its just lazy that there is no dialogue options with your son about your detestable behavior. Also Bethesda could have made this amazing story with the huge but somewhat predictable twist that you were a synth and that the Institute was running a simulation to see if they could create life and it was up to you to interpret certain questions like "do I have a soul" and it is left up to the player to interpret that. It was a missed opportunity but the game does look nice and I guess it is fun to play.

Is there a weapon mod that replaces the fucking awful looking vanilla weapons completely and/or unfucks energy weapons in terms of damage? Every time i see the vanilla 10mm pistol/caravan shotgun sights or any vanilla energy weapon i start vomiting violently. The horridly ugly, unergonomic messes that are the weapon models in this game trigger the living shit out of me.

I've done a run where my character started off wanting to become wealthy to make up for his poverty in the NCR hence his job as a courier. He later becomes ambitious and ends up working with House while doing DLC, wanting to improve the wastes. After going through the Ulysses arc and stopping the nukes he loses his morality along the way. He betrays House, takes Helios and wipes out certain factions in the name of progress. It ends with him ruling the Mojave all while believing he is a hero.

The Enclave's original goal was to eventually leave earth to colonize other planets. The Vault program was made to test different conditions of isolation or some shit to better prepare them for the day they left earth or some shit. This was originally going to be revealed in the Come Fly With Me quest when it was still in Van Buren, but they removed all mention of it in New Vegas for some reason. It's still kind of hinted at in Nuka World of all things though.
