As long as you are not too tired, the best time to take in new info and revise old info is right before sleeping.
Something about the way your memories are processed during sleep makes them stronger, especially when they are brought up before sleep.

Literally one of the only useful parts of grades 1-12 outside specific knowledge is learning how you best retain information. Some people need to write everything down, some people need to read things a million times, some people need to hear it, some people learn best in the mornings, at night, right before sleep, right after waking up, so on and so forth.

Identifying your ideal methods and times will make life significantly easier later on because there's no standardized testing or 'you have to learn Math between 2pm and 3pm', you're asked to learn something as fast as possible and expected to do so.

Well, I never played Persona 3(?), but I'm going to assume he's a high school student. People learn differently, and who knows, maybe he's the type of kid he retains lots of information in a short amount of time and prefers studying at night. Maybe he likes procrastinating to the point where he gets adrenaline rushes studying the day before an exam.

I mean, that's what I did in high school and graduated with honors. People study and work differently, so I'm not sure what the point of this thread is.

Usually anytime works for me. Whenever I don't have class I just walk over to the library and study there. It did not matter what time it was. As long as I've eaten something and wasn't tired, sleepy, or sick, then I could study perfectly well.

For the best retention, I just do quick reviews of what I studied right before I go to sleep.
