This is me right now. I tried quitting twice because of how unprofessional and unfulfilling this company is, but they've raised my pay in response and now I work from home. I think the general enjoyment of a movie is independent of you being or not being a pedo. Therefore, all good movies are liked by pedos.

3rd party here, I get what you're saying, though I think you're over stating or over emphasizing the value of "art" on movies such as this. Back To The Future is definitely one of those "nerd cred" items where people from the 80s/90s have deep seeded nostalgia in it and also assume that it's a "nerdy" thing, and just worship it because nerd culture is "in" at the moment, but it feels like you're shifting some of the blame of a fanbase onto the movie itself as opposed to the idiotic fanbase.

Back to the Future IS a good movie. It's very entertaining, it's a light introduction--I mean babby's first time travel movie, and the actors are charming. The movie, especially for an adventure-comedy, is also full of wit and soul, with lots of little instances of great comedic timing that you wouldn't see in a modern day film.

It just feels like you're trying to be contrarian to me. "Oh, an idiotic fanbase worships and idolizes this movie? Then I'll lambast it for being plebbit" as opposed to acknowledging that this movie, while not the deepest movie of all time, is good enough that reproaching it will requires a really, REALLY fantastic thesis on the subject as opposed to just saying "It's reddit".
