Should I buy this game for PS3? I haven't played a CoD since MW2. I have otherwise paid no attention to the series since I platinum trophied the game and online became just another time killer. The only exposure I've had since has been watching a few guys in a public dorm area playing zombie mode in one of the Blops series 4 years ago.

Now I need a new time killer. Would I be better off playing Blops3 or Advanced Warfare?

Nea Zealand here. Got it last night and had a fiddle around before i went to sleep. Didnt bother going online because tried once and i got some kind of alphabet error so i just assumed the servers would be shit for the first few days.

Played around in local multi by myself to try the guns. Shiva, Drakon, that last SMG, that burst fire LMG and the slow as fuck beastly LMG master race. That lever action shotgun can join in too becasue aesthetics and sounds like an M1 Garand when reloading.

It's amazing, it just keeps eating away more and more VRAM until it tops at 7900's MB and the framerate shits itself.
Also, I don't know why with 16GB of DDR4 2666 MHz RAM not only it uses almost 14GB, but it uses 5GB of the pagefile too.

That's the thing, it's not only a memory leak thing, it's just it uses the CPU like mad.
Probably why the priority it's automatically set to Low.
Treyarch said something about changing an .ini file, but that only takes care of the CPU usage.
The memory leak is still there, and not a single game that suffered from this has been fixed, they just lessened the problem.

I know I don't have the best system but holy fuck I can't even play on the lowest settings and get 60 fps. That's not even taking into account the input lag on your mouse, how fucking hard is it to get rid of that?

The worst part is I could play battlefront 3 and battlefield 4 at 60 fps constant on medium, but this game fails to keep 60 fps when everything's on low unless I lower my resolution rendering to 720p

I know I have a nvidia 660 but holy fuck is medium graphics too much to ask for?

I just wanted to play this game all night since I have school and work all day tomorrow.

Game does run like shit. Doesn't even seem to be a reason for it. GPU usage isn't near 100%, CPU usage isn't near 100%, with a couple settings lowered a notch, vram usage is under 3.5GB

It's more that the framerate keeps going up and down rather than staying steady, because it does get up to 60 fps, it just can't stay there for some reason.

Hopefully Treyarch aren't as shitty as WB/Rocksteady and manage to fix it. And hopefully there's mass refunds like with AK too until they (if they do) fix it.

My framerate would jump up and down every other second, 60 fps then 20 then 60 then 20, even with little to no action going on. Played through the first mission. Was pretty damn frustrating. Was 60fps for the most part with occasional dips, but every once in a while the game would lock up. I'd have to alt+tab and alt+tab back to the game that suddenly goes into Windowed mode. Then I put it back to full screen and return. Happened to me while in the damn menu.

Also: I haven't played a CoD game since Black Ops 2 and it really seems like nothing has changed judging by the first mission, like even the graphics aren't good.

Yeah, 970, and yeah, the drivers that were just released. It would be better if the game was constantly using 100% GPU or CPU because I'd at least know what was causing it, but my GPU usage at the highest generally is like 80%. I was using 3.6-3.8GB of vram maxed out and that's obviously a no-no with a 970 but I got it under 3.5GB by turning down AO and textures but the performance still sucks.

I don't even know why I bought the game. The whole thing with the robot ripping your arms off was cool and I saw the game had a decent amount of content.

And I see that it seems that other people are having no issue so I'm not sure what could cause that. It's not that fucking hard to make a good PC version of a game because plenty of people do it fine.
