I own that game and how the fuck is that even possible? Is Nolan North that expensive or did Activison just burn wheelbarrows of money out in the back lot for tax purposes?
Anyone up for a rousing game of RNG? Shit's on sale too.

That's a really bad Idea Anon.
What is it about games like GTAO that make demographics so cautious of spending money, but MMOs or other games with micropayments/cosmetics are often pretty successful at seeming worth payment..
I just realized that I already know the answer.Owning things is pretty awful on the motivation scale, but "winning" and mastering the game are really nice. So,not only may GTA seem like a game worth playing through (for gear/cosmetics) because of the depth of the game ("Well, it's just shooting and driving -- 'needing' these things seems absolutely ludicrous."), but also because of the level of permanence and cross-crew non-competitiveness. There's little to lose and little to gain by spending real money.
So, what's improvable about GTAO that would make the game seemcompetitive and economic?
I used to say that the game [should have a mode or something] with .. no nametags, losing inventory on respawn, and no blips.
It's worse and noticeable with GTA because it was a conventional, awesome series that took a massive shift to something else. If people want to spend the equivalent of a full price game for enough in-game money to buy a single car that's their business but for most sane people this is an unacceptable and incredibly greedy corporate practice. We aren't getting full games any more. Content is blocked behind a paywall or insane grind to milk even more money from the consumer.

Are you daft? The microtransactions ruined the prices of shit. How is it that an OG GTAO car full repair cost less than 500$ but buying a rim costs over 60k$?
Super cars were starting from 200k up to 700k and now they won't go below 2 million shekels.
Everything in this game is ruined by microtransactions because it's not only for cosmetics. If you have enough money, regardless of skill, you can get the new bike and be the shittiest than hydrafags because unless you have the Oppressor, chances are, you're gonna have a hard time dealing with it.
Shark cards ruined everything that was good about OG GTAO, which wasn't excellent, by the way.

I think it has something to do with how Ubisoft titles are connected to UPlay. Ubisoft probably fucked something up.
>>381578126
>he thinks there are infinite copies of games
>>381578441
Actually, if the game codes are distributed directly from Steam, the number of copies is infinite. The problem with this Ubisoft title is the fact that Steam doesn't generate the CD-keys, but has to rely on Ubisoft for the keys.
Yeah, MGSV is pretty shit as a whole but can we at least agree that the prologue is kino as fuck?
