I only played the first one really.

I had a hacked version of The Sims 2, and I played it with mods, but I wouldn't even say I put 20 hours into it.

Most people seem to dislike it but I enjoy it. Get a pirated version, then it's definitely worth a play.

4 is basically designed for laptops and it shows, 3 is unarguably the better simulator and got fucktons more options, 4 looks better but doesn't really have much going on under the "hood" due being so streamlined.

4 definitely feels like it was designed for the "wish fulfillment" players first and foremost rather then the "Story teller"/"Torturer" players.

And it still has optimization issues, just not ones as obvious as 3.

If you have a shit computer then go for it, if you have a monster compurter that you build ypurself and is might proud of, you should give it the "3 Complete" treatment to bench it, possibly including Kinky World if you like yourself some degeneracy.

When Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin released for PC, weapon durability (among other things) was still tied to framerate. With the boosted framerate, weapons were breaking much faster than usual. It was eventually patched.
