This morning I took a visit to an old friend at Vicarious Visions and was shown some in development information regarding the Crash Bandicoot Lost Treasures DLC for the NSane Trilogy, and the untitled DLC pack coming after that.
First off, the Lost Treasures, as most people expected, will include the cut Crash Bandicoot 1 levels. This includes the known Stormy Ascent and 4 other levels. These levels will open up in Crash 1 as secret paths branching off of the level select map.
However, what most people ARENT expecting is that this same DLC pack will also include every level from the PS2 game Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, remade and restructured to better mesh with the rest of the NSane Trilogies play style. This DLC pack is serving as Vicarious Visions testing themseves to see if they are ready to design their own Crash levels, and in the future, their own potential Crash game. These levels are going to be added to the Crash 3 portion of the NSane Trilogy similarly to how the cut Crash 1 stages are being added.
This DLC pack doesn't have a set release date, but I was told they are on track for a late Fall release. However, if the Wrath of Cortex development goes as smoothly as possible, there is a chance the entire game will be remade, instead of just the levels as originally planned. This decision I was told could push the DLC to as late as Holiday 2017.
The second DLC pack, personally requested by Activision due to massive fan demand, is a remake of Crash Team Racing. This DLC is still very early in development and I was told won't be ready until after the Lost Treasures DLC is said and done. New racers will be added to the roster if everything goes according to plan so Vicarious Visions can give their own "spin on things" (their words, not mine).
Lastly, I was shown VERY early development work on a potential remake of Crash Twinsanity, yet to be pitched to Activision. Early models of both Crash and Cortex and reference artwork for the first stage.

I was told specifically not to get my hopes up for Twinsanity because Activision may have totally different plans for Crash after NSane Trilogy, and could easily shoot down their idea for a remake.
Either way, it's clear all of this Crash love is in direct response to the overwhelming attention NSane Trilogy got. Thought I'd keep you guys updated.
