It was garbage. Had the worst catch-up cheating AI ever and the cars had boat handling.

They already do, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, which is a far better game.

It was pretty bad, gameplay wise, but the editors were fantastic.

Because you experience actual character growth going from being a peasant in a scholarly keep to accidentally (or deliberately) embodying your destiny as the Lord of Murder (the main way you interact with the game is killing things funnily enough)

You see how this change over the course of 100hrs worth of gameplay impacts your companions with Minsc questioning whether he even still has a place for ass kicking and hamsters when contrasted with fate, prophecy and the will of the Gods. Aerie wondering how she became an archmage despite no real training or aspirations to reach this goal, how you get to decide to rule as lord of murder and possibly be a bloodthirsty monster or actually give consideration to things like motive and execution.

It's these subtle intrigues in to your own characters and the people around you that make BG2 so interesting for people because it's a very personal story that, ultimately asks you quite literally whether you would reclaim your innocence or leave it behind completely, immediately afterwards asking you to kill your innocence as if it were a man (but the truth is really your innocence died when Gorion did, long ago)

I've done that and it was really fun. Hell, that's kind of my inspiration to git gud, but you don't really learn shit from hitting buttons with other people who are also just hitting buttons. SFV was basic enough that I could essentially teach myself the ropes from fucking around and then rely on the Internet to fill in the gaps. With Tekken, just basic fucking movement like backdash cancelling is so fucking complex and you have literally dozens of moves in any character's moveset, making it impossible for a complete noob to teach themselves anything
