Whats the best health recovery mechanic? Theres health reg, healing items and health pick ups. In action games i feel that with healing items it doesnt offer much of a challenge since you can just stop the game and raise some numbers anytime you want, with health regen at you least you have to consider stopping from the action, but the best is probably health pick ups since you dont have the luxury of carrying them around with you and will usually have a steady supply around once you have gotten better at the game

Infamous had health regen but also had it so absorbing electricity out of the environment healed you too, though it was cool how health was technically all around you.
