That's not surprising. Given that they claim to already have translations and have never bothered cleaning their scans, the typesetter is the only one in the group doing any real work while getting none of the praise. That person is just stuck being a slave for the sake of someone else's e-peen. My headcanon before Tsuzuki started to fuck things up was that Vivio would accidentally see whatever magic Nanoha was trying on Fate in their bedroom (my preference is for Fate to have the kid/kids, she needs the maternal leave more), and pick it up because that was supposedly her skill as per StrikerS.

But because Nanoha kept the true impregnating purpose secret from Feito, Vivio would not know the purpose of the spell/device and think it is just a sexual practice, using it on Einhart, preferably in adult modos. She might have promised she won't use it for mischief, but having underage sex is worse, isn't it?

And then they would obliviously end up doing it at home at the same time as mamas ending with both generations up being exposed in the act to each other (and naturally, unable to stop before coming).

Then when Nanoha snaps out of the berserker mode, she realizes what has happened, tells everybody that the magic can make them pregnant, Fate does pic related while they resuscitate Einhart from death by embarassmentt with the auto-defibrilator device that Fate has on her uniform.

And then they rush out to buy some instanteous magical pregnancy tests and we all hope that the results are bad (meaning good).

Furthermore, it would be a stupid idea to keep Einhart around Yumina, since she isn't a transcendental character, and one of the strengths in the Nanoha works has been the strong bond between characters: Nanoha and Fate in S1 and As, Hayate and her familiars in As, Subaru and Teana in StrikerS. In Vivid Vivio's partner was supposed to be Einhart, but then the writer decided to do fuck all, failed to make Vivio a compelling main character, to the point she gets overshadowed by Einhart and even side characters like Rio and Corona. Then her relationship with Einhart takes the backseat, because Yumina showed up.

Vivid has worked mainly as some crappy mix between battle shounen and mahou shoujo, nearly completely leaving aside any idea of plot progression and even worse, developing in human relationships.

You know I didn't mind when Fate smiled. I guess that the problem with Einhart is that they are drawing her with the mouth turned upside down all the time, she smiles way too much, almost always now, without reasons, so it feels forceful, weird and without reason. What accomplishments? She failed at pretty much everything she does. Her only victories are against Einhart, by being so reckless Einhart was not fighting back, against Miura, the Yamcha of vivid, and against Rinne, by being so reckless she ended up in the hospital. Yes, she could still win the exhibition match against Nanoha but again that was hardly a fair fight, the battlefield and rules favour Vivio and Nanoha was having trouble going all out against her daughter for a considerable portion of the match.
Everything we have seen so far proves that she would be better of doing something else.

Anyhow, I'm talking about the story moving past the Strike timeline. Considering Vivio already had her rematch against Miura in the manga, I suppose Einhart will have her rematch against Sieg sometime after the events in Strike.

It would be a shame if the author doesn't shape Vivio up to become Einhart's main rival (as it was supposed to be at the start), given their unstoppable force vs unmovable object deal (though, rather than being an unmovable object, Vivio would be better described as being fluid like water, since she just adapts to almost anything).

Vivio might be the token counterpart of Einhart in the main duo from the support cast of Vivids, but all interactions in the actual series were with Yumina. Damn, what would I give for it if it was Vivio shown next to Einhart in that bath scene. OR even washing the hegemon back, damn.

We're all pretty used to the Yumina jokes by know, but it's always so fucking weird when you stop to think about it.

They spent years playing up the subtext of Vivio and Einhart and paired them together in ever promotion that they could so that people would think of them as a pair the same way we do Nanoha and Fate, and it worked.

The fanbase was completely on board with the Vivio/Ein ship, but now they've pulled a complete 180 with the two barely even interacting in promotional material, instead draping Yumina all over Einhart at every other opportunity.

As a meme it's funny, but I have no idea why this was conceived from a creative or marketing standpoint.

Even if it was tournaments related, the strength in Nanoha works has always between the relationship between characters.
I mean, other than mahou shoujo gundam lolis, one of the most defining aspects in Nanoha has been Nanoha and Fate's relationship. In A's it was Hayate and her familiars, in StrikerS they added Subaru and Teana. So, more than any plot they can come up with, the selling point and the strongest point of the story will always be the relationship between the MC and her partner.

I mean, compare Vivid Strike to the regular Vivid story. VS manages to be a bit better because: 1) The main character has a clear motivation, 2) She has a MCish personality, and 3) The focal point of the story involves the MC and her partner - who, also happens to be her rival.
Whilst VS still suffers from eternal tournaments, which is a serious issue for the story by now as not even Dragonball abuses tournaments this much, it's a considerable improvement from regular Vivid, because of the focus on the relationship between Fuuka and Rinne.

Not always, for example, whilst what you said applies to Nanoha/Fate and Fuuka/Rinne, it doesn't apply to Subaru/Teana. In the latter, their dynamics is fun because one is the brawns whereas the other one is the brains, and they compliment each other perfectly because of that, and other personality traits as well.

But yeah, the rivals plot is fun when you knew befriendings will be had.

That being said, I don't think that's the only possible way. For example, one thing that never got exploited in Vivid was the possibility of paralleling Vivio and Einhart's relationship to Olivie and Claus', because ultimately for Einhart all it came down to was proving her style was strong. Her motivations ultimately didn't really involve Vivio. Vivio was never even properly related to Olivie. I thought it would have been fun to see her find out what Olivie's style was and applying that to her own style. But alas, that hasn't happened.

But Vivio was aslo a hundred time stronger then now. And Miura beat Vivio AFTER what happened during Vivid. So does that mean Miura can beat a 1/3 Nanoha as well? And there are other girls equal/stronger then Vivio in Vivid Strike. So I guess most of them are at least half as strong as a extremely experienced, powerful combat mage.

That makes it worse then. Gimped Nanoha, who had already fought numerous people and was pushing her body to the limit, fought against Vivio who was at full power Saint Kaiser. She then used so much power to beat Vivio that she permanently lost some of her magical capabilities, and was still have to just take her fly away. Meanwhile Nanoha here at just 1/3 power, got hit a few times by Vivio's flyswatter-tier attacks in comparison but now she can't stand.

Anyhow, Vivio beating Nanoha means very little in terms of power. For one, Vivio is never the strongest in her fights, since her core is still broken, and she's considerably weakened. Her fights always involve her being perceptive, knowing when to dodge and when to strike. That's her style.
Nanoha, as others have pointed out, was very limited, not only in terms of power, but also in terms not being able to fight her own way. Nanoha is a ranged fighter and she relies a lot on flying. So, she had a to fight Vivio in a way she wasn't comfortable with.
The system also favoured Vivio.

Had Nanoha been able to fight the way she used to, even if she was limited, she would have blitzed Vivio badly.

The device was knocked out, certainly a weird situation, because if Nanoha got up, Vivio could hardly continue to fight. I guess at that moment the match was already at some sort of weird tie/Nanoha effectively won stage.

To be fair vivid strike is mostly about strike arts. All matches were considerably tamer than the ones in vivid, maybe there was not enough firepower involved to break the BJs.

You know, years ago when I started reading Vivid, I was amused that there is a loli that is called fucking "EINHART" "STRATOS" and "HEGEMON INGVALT". That's heavy metal tier name for a little girl, the name hits with the impact of 40 dirty miners striking rock with a pneumatic drill in a dark tunnel from a Rammstein music video.

And when she actually acted under the influence of the Claus memories and was all serious and stuff, it was rather cool. That was mostly what made me like Einhart - and then Vivid as a whole. I always kinda knew that these character traits and oomph are misplaced in Vivid, with her being turned into a martial arts student in a few chapters (though they managed to keep that cool air all the way to volume 12, I guess I should be glad at least for that).

After that and Strike, it just feels like something was thrown away.

I guess it might be as you say, and the ranking is like Tennis.
The Intermiddle is likely in a higher catergory than other tournaments, and thus it awards more points for the rankings, as opposed to smaller tournaments.

That being said, Vivio very likely participated in the U15, in which for obvious reasons she must have had lost.
