Can anyone recommend me a translated yuri manga with a nice mutual romance (or at least mutual crushing that actually leads somewhere) that preferably ends with them living happily ever after? I've been trying to get into different yuri series for years, but I always get so bummed out over how it always seems to end up with bad ends, or the girls not getting each other (which is probably why even to this day, Strawberry Sweet is my favorite yuri series).

I watched the first season when it was airing and I instantly fell in love with Kanade, I finished the show just in hopes she would be revived and didn't finish G while airing as the consequence of the disappointment and the fact that Maria basically took her place. And if I thought there was only bad end yuri out there, I wouldn't have asked for feel good yuri, would I?

I think he's trying to say in his own retarded way is that Cures generally don't have to worry about little things like collateral damage or bystander fatalities. At least in the few Precure series I've seen everything is good as new after the battle and everyone conveniently clears out of the way.

Her character does seem to be more based on Nanoha with the "might makes right, everyone will be friends with you after you slap them down" philosophy.

The fact she apparently is aimed at children and has her face on product makes her Precure.

It's also kind of interesting that she clearly doesn't want to fight if it means people will get hurt but at the same time her creator didn't give her any other means of dealing with problems.

Honestly, there's not really been any het in this. For the most part Souta might as well not even be there.

That manga was not 100% yuri, but the relationship between Yune (the black-haired Japanese girl) and Alice (the European girl) is one of the most important parts of the story. The manga was abruptly discontinued in 2011, just as the author was noted by her peers to be visibly ill.

Pictured is the lower half of what is effectively the very last page of the manga. The author's illness added a strong subtext to a story that was already turning for the bleaker.

It's something that I wish I could have liked more since it has the things I like (yuri couples and mechs), but never really lived up to its potential.

There are some moments that are pretty emotionally impactful like when everyone on the planet is made to forget Yui and she's left abandoned and alone with none of her former friends and subjects even knowing who she is and some pretty beautiful shots every now and then. The fucked up audio makes the mech fights a chore when they should be fun though and overall it's honestly kind of hard for me to recommend unless you're both hardcore dedicated to yuri and are time rich with nothing better to do.

It might be a better watch marathoned than it was stretched out over 4-5 months or however long it ended up being, I dunno.

One thing that bothers me in this show is how Japan has a lot of female creators. A big number of mangaká are women. But somehow there's only one female illustrator and a girl who killed herself in the anime.

The entertainment factor are the character interactions and the "what-ifs" details with these characters

I really like character driven stuff such as Simoun or Blue Drop, two of my all time favorites non-yuri included. I primarily watch yuri because they often do a good job with that (even when it only has small yuri elements, such as Ride Back or Nanoha) and because I hate romance except for some reason when it is yuri.

So how is Kannazuki no Miko? I heard it has a love triangle, an annoying boy, is mecha and not particularly good overall.
