These two (technically three, but one of which is a sequel to another) fics were based on pre-anime characterization, but still quite good reads if you ship Kanan/Mari.

That's much lower than the cutoffs EN had for the Hanayo and Eli MedFes when the game was still easy-going before 3.0, which triggered all the absurd cutoffs.

I still find it complete bullshit that KLab doesn't have plans to expand the tiers for this upcoming ChikaRiko event. Token event bloodbaths are terrible.

If you have to choose between School Idol Project or Sunshine, go with Sunshine, as it's almost an enhanced remake of SIP with better characters. If you see it that way, it's much more enjoyable despite the continuity wanking.

I'll save you the time to summarize SIP:

Season 2 plot point: Hoshizora Rin, the short orange-haired girl has self esteem issues with being assigned to the front of the stage when the 2nd years are out on a trip. She also has a complex about wearing girls clothing, both of which she gets over with the help from other members of μ's.

For the movie: μ's goes to New York, Honoka meets a future version and later performs on TV. After coming back, they get even more popular and are asked to perform at the Tokyo Dome so the Love Live can keep going. However, Honoka and μ's had decided to break up already, so they instead decide to gather all the school idols everywhere to pull off Sunny Day Song, later showing an open ending of μ's performing and presumably disbanding.

There you go. You just saved yourself several hours of bad CG and heartbreak.

I particularly enjoyed the parts in the SIF storyline where they supposedly went to Homura to keep Honoka company and ended up in a technical discussion over costumes, and where Nico encouraged Kotori with her outfit ideas.

Let me share a revelation I just had: ChikaKanan got shafted in the anime exactly like HonoEli had.

Both pairing had well-established relationships and dynamics at first, then comes the anime its all absent, instead focusing on the Second-years. I was genuinely interested in this pairing at first but they don't have any screen time together. Its a bit irritating since this would have been a perfect way to shake things up with Sunshine

The one upside here is at least the ChikaKanan childhood friendship was not retconned out like HonoEli was. I'm still dubious on how close they are, since if Chika is supposed to be close to Kanan (to the point that her Daily Diary shows she spends more than half her day with Kanan), you'd think she would know SOMETHING about Kanan's angst trip.


I'm starting to think that Haneda just hates Senpai-Kouhai relationships.

Well there's a DiaRuby doujin up on sadpanda but not going to post it because it seems like they're practicing for boys, and there are even parts where you see them imagining it.
