Looks glorious. I don't know if Rebellion flopped or not, but I guess there won't be another TV anime. OVA format probably works better anyway.

I wouldn't say Queens Blade itself is yuri but it does have a lot of yuri fluff. Echidna is definitely a lesbian and makes moves on Leina. Elina likes Leina, Claudette likes Elina. Elina masturbates thinking about her sisters in Rebellion. The swamp queen's minions were obsessed with Leina for various reasons. Airi can only live by regularly kissing beautiful girls and getting their life force.

But for the most part Queen's Blade is just fanservice aimed at guys. There are the bad end books and things that end with the girls getting raped by guys, sold into slavery and things like that too so if that rubs you the wrong way like it does me you may want to just stay away from most of it.

Grimoire has Despina and Seiten who have lesbian antics as part of their attacks in the game books. The story in Gretel's book involves a female warrior coming to her shop looking for a fight only to have Gretel's warrior alter ego come out and start groping her. The rest is left to the imagination.

Also... Tiina supposedly makes a deal with Seiten for a pair of legs because she fell for a man. Wonder if the OVA changed this part of her backstory or if she had the same problem as Yuit.

The first two seasons are essentially a love story between the MC and her rival/mentor with the emotional climax featuring a confession of love while they hug so, yeah. Queen's Blade is pretty gay.

There are a lot more but most of them are the girls defeating each other. Some are yuri but a lot aren't. In one Echidna defeats Tomoe and tells her she's going to taste her, in one Elina defeats Leina and finally has her way with her etc.

They all are said to be non canon though but they are out there.

Queen's blade is I think one of the better anime outside the Romance Genre with a load of Yuri in it. The fanservice can be excessive at times, but by season two it is extremely compelling, and season three takes it further.

Vanquished Queens was a huge misstep, the books are not redeemed by the woman on woman rape, but the vanquished queen OVAs all have an uplifting default end. So even though you have to sit through some nasty beatings, it's not for nothing. Especially when Echidna and Irma reconcile.
