In current webcomic fiction?
Pretty much every female character is either bisexual or pansexual or has such leanings nowadays cause girl/girl pandering is hot. Many authors discovered that it is ok to show bisexual females as long they will also be with guys or shown being attracted to them to not alienate straight male readership too much but look to be progressive with showing LGBT themes at the same time.

If you look at it getting bisexual male or even more rare thing as lesbian MC type go is still too big niche for my taste.

It's pretty much the same thing which happened in Roomie webcomic where some readers many times over time brought their discomfort about Roomie possible lesbianism in comments hoping author wouldn't make her one, which as later events show in idiotic "coming out" chapter turned out author caved in the safe approach of pansexuality/bisexuality for every female in it, even LT asexuality came from forced relation with a guy...

It's fucking depressing where creators even in modern times are afraid of making lesbians as leads cause that would not sell or it was bringing possible discomfort to their straight readership just by the lesbian sexuality of the leads. It's basically the formula that if comic becomes more popular the characters can't be lesbians alone anymore and must be bi/pan or just turned bff.

Only example where girls love relation won might be Spinnerette comic where due to fans influence the author paired her with MechaMaid than the bland guy she was initially dating.

I was so disappointed in this when I first saw one girl and then the other out of nowhere having sex with guys in it than with each other which really harshly gives you the answer that them both are just a couple in name than being an actual item, dropped it after a while where I found the story quite boring to follow and the so called couple wasn't really worth of following, sicne they are poly bisexuals, one character even has a kid...
I would not really suggest it to anyone who would want to read a story with about a female couple in mind.
