Well, Lynch got his audience lynched, who would've thought.
Nothing too new, really.
As always, as is the case with pretty much most of his movies (feel free to remind me of an exception if you can) - we've got some weird ass surreal shit, we are definitely getting no official explanation, and the best we can do is to rationalize it in a buch of fan-theories and choose whatever sounds the most plausible.
And yeah, don't forget that Lynch is a surrealist. A pop-surrealist, but nevertheless. Surrealist movies tend to feel like a dream: events just happenning, starting and then not getting anywhere - just alternating, almost like being forgotten. You know what I mean if you watched "An Andalusian Dog", for example. Lynch doesn't go full surrealist in "Twin Peaks", but leaving a fuckton of loose ends loose is what you should naturally expect.

The narrative has actually been pretty simple and really easy to follow, giving the illusion to so many they they're in control hence all those outlandish reddit theories. Here's how I see it. Earth is one plane of existence. A "dream" of the consciousness (the dreamer). Death is one escape from, so is, perhaps, a coma. Normally a coma would just result in a lack of consciousness. But in the show, earth and the multi dimensional realm of Judy, the giant, etc have slowly been colliding since the bomb. So Audrey, dead or in a coma, ends up not unconscious, but stuck in a sort of limbo between to worlds. As the worlds collide, the limbo also gets squished. Everything related to Audrey - billy and everyone talking about him - is real and their drama has seeped into her plane of existence. Weirdness in the twin peaks timeline could be explained by it colliding with the "limbo twin peaks" timeline.

So to answer more questions:
That explains all roadhouse people and weirdness; perhaps it's the point at which the realities as colliding. Richard and Linda exist inside a false reality created by Judy to trap Laura. They go to rescue her at the risk of their own human identity.

So really the only thing I don't know is the dead body in carry Paige's house

And also why coop told Laura not to take the ring

Something about this scene gave me a lot of weird vibes.

It seems to have callbacks to the night Mr. C raped her, however he's not wearing a smile. He's expressionless like the Mr. C has been throughout the series. She covers his face up in a way that reminds me of how Naido's face is stitched. Also the emphasis of the skinny outlines of Diane's body & the seemingly sexless front of her body reminds me of Judy.

Then, he wakes up to a letter addressed to his son's name (not really his son & he never meets him; puts emphasis on RICHARD rather than Richard *and* Linda).

I feel like there's something just behind the curtain that the viewer should be able to connect here, but maybe its all just empty reuses of symbolism.

In any case, this is a normal reaction. Some people feel entitled to the same kind of treatment, thinking that they are somehow the focus of someone's actions. You develop something, create something that happens to get in the hands of someone. He then asks for more, but that cannot be offered, then you receive a complaint. But you weren't developing that for that person. It's not about that person, a "fanbase" (god knows that there are many different groups in that fanbase, and some like one particular thing, some a different one). He's not trying to please anybody here.

In a way I think the conclusion from episode 17 where everything seems like a fucking cartoon, bob is having a fight against some guy with a lot of strength and everyone's around, is not exactly as people would say "done as a service to the fans and some closure" but rather "look how pathetic this is, is this what you really wanted?"

Lynch is not perfect. He's not amazing, he's not going to do what you particularly want. He gets more praise than he deserves, but also more hate than he deserves. He wanted to put something out there. People asked for more Twin Peaks, he offered what he wanted, nothing else.

Some of you liked the finale, some of you didn't, I'm not sure if I liked it myself, but I'm glad season 3 as a thing exists and I'm glad I got to spend time posting about it with you guys.
Even when the finale wasn't what I was expecting (didn't know what to expect really, every other tv show feels so predictable now), the trip was worth it, and you guys, you only made it better.
