Ended up going over the 4000 milestone, will probably wait until I see the new IT and Blade runner sequel before scaling back on marathoning so much.

Unfortunately that rip I got of legend of the mountain was the two hour version, still even in that cut form King Hu's films are always visually interesting and he's able to tease/build tension well without much action.

I didn't think the flashbacks were all that difficult to spot in Assassination, it was more the lack of historical knowledge that held me back, still, any Shinoda film is worth it for the cinematography and the different viewpoints narrative was a good way to present the protagonist that really worked for me.

It took me three attempts to watch the Naked island, I just wasn't into it the first two times round, glad I was more in the mood this time and on board with the slow tempo/atmosphere and got caught up in the gorgeous shots, the ending to this really makes good on the slow build and hit me.

Juliette and the key of dreams might appeal to a fan of Cocteau and I liked the idea behind it.

Going to watch the Italian connection next.

If anybody has it, can they link/point me in the direction of where to download Song of the cornfields, I loved People of the mountains and wanted to see the directors other films.
