My entire D&D group I just joined is obsessed with Dr. Who and uses it to influence their time traveling campaign, and a few times I have been turned into a pariah when I don't know the details of certain doctors and time traveling and special characters.

So I just watched Trust Me. The writing wasn't really great, but HOLY SHIT JODIE WAS KINO.

It's gonna be very interesting seeing Jodie as the Doctor - in most of the things I've seen her in she's played very down-to-earth human roles, so it's gonna be interesting to see her play an alien. That said, I think it'll be good - seeing her IRL charisma, I think she'll enjoy the role, since it seems like she'll be able to act more like her actual self than a lot of the very serious roles she gets (for good reason, she's brilliant at acting seriously).

My only real hopes for Jodie now are pretty much just in terms of style (considering I'm fully confident in her acting abilities):

So, maybe not all the time, but when my Grandfather died Dark Eyes 1 came out a few days later. I listened to 8s speech about hope when they're in the tardis and how you're often afraid to feel it incase you lose it. And I bawled like a baby, as I was alone in College with no one around at that moment. It wasnt a good time and it hit me very hard. I can't tell when series 8 Doctor is joking around and when he's being genuinely autistic or what. For example, when Clara comes home after the date with Danny to find the TARDIS parked in her room.

If I could magically switch off that part of my brain, I would do, happily. I don't know why other people's interpretation of media, and the way they enjoy things bothers me so much when I disagree with it, it just does. It's exhausting, every time I see someone talking about how much they enjoy fan fiction, or how much they like X because of Y, or how badly they like to pair this character with that character, it deeply upsets me. It's only gotten worse over the years as more of the books/comics/ect I enjoy get more main stream and adapted as movies/television. It's probably the reason I have very few friends, because no I've talked to so far has been able to understand or agree with my point of view on this. Maybe I'm autistic, maybe I'm some kind of sociopath, maybe it's because when I hear someone talk about how attractive character X is I get jealous that I'm not as attractive as character X, I don't fucking know.
