The worst thing about the show for me now is this; it isn't a game for humans anymore.

It hasn't been since Melly gave birth to that shadow demon and killed Renley way back in season two(?) but the power creep from that point progressed so quickly that there is no human drama left.

Littlefinger was a great character who lived on intrigue, strategy, deception and his wits. But all of that means nothing when he's sitting across the table from Professor X jr like he was this episode.
Brienne was a freakishly big and strong girl who had the best trailers her dad could afford, but that doesn't matter when she's basically fighting a genin from Naruto who can easily block her strongest swings with ease and could probably make shadow clones at this point if she needed to.
Jaime was one of the greatest swordsmen and knights in Westeros, but it doesn't matter when his army has to fight dragons or his sister is guarded by a eight foot tall 500lb undead Frankenstein monster.

All the human drama has been left behind. All that matters now is how many superheroes you have on your team. They even all dress like superheros now. I just really, really liked it when it was 'Sopranos with Swords' and I hope one day we get another show like that.
