Not surprising. Wheel of Time was iconic in the 90's and early 2000's, but Jordan's slow pace combined with a general decline in quality killed the series. Sanderson resurrected it and wrote a wonderful ending that the hardcore fans read, but it isn't enough to launch a solid TV series from.
