Meredith was a spastic and provably less intelligent than both Carter and his own sister. With Atlantis on earth and the full Asgard database, they should have easily been able to create ZPMs.

I have this, it's not head canon, fanfiction maby... or fantasy. Either way my idea was that at some point Earth would find a world that was like Gou'ald junk-yard planet. Think Star Wars' Raxus Prime, but with Ha'taks and Tel'taks and shit. Anyway Earth sets up a base there with Asgard beaming/ matter converter/replicator tech on it and start beaming up old scrap and converting it to parts to build more 304s and other new shit, some of which the US keep, some of which they sell to other countries, all leading to Earth getting a fleet of kick ass ships.
