There's no character in a burka or a black guy thrown into the cast for no reason because 2017, so we should all be satisfied enough with that.

Instead, the original creator is behind the whole thing and he told Nick 'this is what we're gonna do' and he's looking at Rocko's 2017 Life through a smart, satirical lens. Like the original.

Seems fine.

Besides part of the plot lies with Rocko's love of nostalgia and how he clings to it, which is basically what its viewers will be doing if they realize it or not...
