I had my first dream about Doctor Who in which I became the Doctor's companion and he had a locker room in the TARDIS where you could put all the stuff you packed and my mom also was a companion but maybe not. It just seems like a Susan story might be perfect for this Doctor considering how this is the more drastic change that he has been through and to revisit something like that from the First Doctor's era seems like it could get interesting. Of course, Susan would be used to the idea of Time Lords changing genders, right? The things that seem most relevant to me:
- Chibnall was picked to handle the more 'comfy family home/drama' stuff around S7A, so Brian's introduction in Dinos, Power of Three, Pond Life, and P.S. (the short where Brian gets the letter from Rory after Manhattan). By far the strongest aspects of Power of Three are the bits where there's no plot and it's just character development.
- Broadchurch lived and died by the ensemble of characters it created & the drama between them, on the back of which it was able to drag out 2 additional runs even though the reveal was always an anticlimax. (I think there's a comparison to Torchwood here as well with the focus on a strong ensemble)
I think what you can expect are a group of fairly fleshed out characters, so maybe a fair bit of the companion's home life RTD style complete with plenty of comedy, and maybe some quite serious and dramatic developments between them. Any sci-fi plot will basically just be an excuse for that.

Torchwood did show that he isn't averse to some "VNA level dark" shenanigans so I wouldn't expect it to suddenly get a lot more light and fluffy than Capaldi's era, but I would expect it to generally feel less 'mythic' and more 'homespun' than Moffat if that makes any sense.

There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).

Everything about that logo is great. The way the Doctor and Who have serifs in opposite directions so that when put together on the DW they mimic the edges of the TARDIS, and the simplicity of it all while staying iconic and remeniscent of the logos of the series' past, rather than the utter mess of effects that the 2005-2009 logo was.
